NEW YEAR’S EVE TARA PRACTICE
WITH VENERABLE AMY MILLER
Monday, December 31 – Tuesday, January 1 from 7pm to 6am
Start the new year in a most meaningful and energetic way with this special all-night Tara practice! This event includes chanting, circumambulations, offerings, and prostrations with festive and inspiring energy, so there’s no danger of falling asleep! Tara, mother of all the buddhas, is a manifestation of enlightened activity. She is particularly helpful in emergencies and difficult situations. We will offer this all-night practice especially for the benefit of our environment, our neighbors, and universal peace.
To sustain our bodies during this meritorious practice, we will be practicing generosity for each other pot-luck style! You are welcome to contribute any plant-based (vegan) or vegetarian dishes, snacks, sweets, or desserts. The center will provide drinks, including something bubbly for midnight! All Shantideva Center events are alcohol-free.
