Michel Ng is a lifelong practitioner of the Dharma. He was first taught to meditate in the Burmese vipassana tradition by his aunt while in his teens. Eventually Michel found his way to Lan'tau Island, Hong Kong where he took refuge. Since then, he has spent two decades learning from teachers including Venerable Sheng Yen and Venerable Hin Hung, both of whom come from a long established lineage of Ch'an practitioners. Established in these roots, Michel began to explore Tibetan Buddhism, a longtime source of fascination and inspiration for him, particularly the teachings of Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche. In 2017, Michel signed up for Shantideva Center's Discovering Buddhism course and began studying the lamrim (graduated path to enlightenment), and attending other teachings and retreats. Michel would like to thank Ven. Amy Miller, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and Shantideva Center for giving him the opportunity to lead meditation. He looks forward to sharing the gifts that he has been taught through meditation with the Shantideva community.
