Pamela is the Director of Pastoral Ministries at the Unitarian Church of All Souls. She also leads support groups oriented toward illness and end of life. Pamela is pursuing certification in hospital and hospice chaplaincy, and has completed clinical units in several NYC hospitals. She began to explore Buddhism in 2012 while earning her Masters of Divinity degree at Union Theological Seminary, and after a few years began to establish a daily meditation practice. It was when she started offering meditation in her support groups that Pamela began to see the power of meditation to transform and alleviate the suffering of all beings. Pamela has been a student in the Discovering Buddhism program at Shantideva Center for two years, and her studies fuel her efforts to maintain and deepen her meditation practice. Pamela lives in Manhattan with her husband and her three children.
