TIBETAN QIGONG

Experience the healing power of Tibetan Qigong, an ancient art of gentle movement. The session will begin with the form Three Palms Together, which is a very simple yet profound method for increasing the flow of qi (energy) throughout the body. It is the basis of all other Tibetan Qigong forms that were kept secret in Tibet and only recently made available to the West. The gentle movements of Three Palms Together constitute a standing meditation practice that strengthens our innate self-healing capabilities. Through this practice, we are able to balance internal organs, lower blood pressure, reduce pain, and calm emotional turmoil.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Andy Spreitzer has been practicing meditation for the last 20 years, and Buddhism for six years, having taken refuge with Ven. Robina Courtin. Last year he completed his first 10-day silent Vipassana meditation retreat. Ven. Fedor Stracke has been a major influence on his meditation practice, stressing that the purification of karma and developing merit are the keys to a meaningful practice. Andy also has experience in Tibetan qigong, having trained for two years with Master Kay Luthi, student of renowned healer and Vajrayana Master Zi Sheng Wang. Andy continues to study wth Master Kay to become a qualified teacher for higher level teachings and practices. As a health counselor, Andy was looking for an energetic practice to help clients with their healing journey and found that in Tibetan qigong – it increases one’s good health, mental stability, and happiness. It also complements one’s meditation practice and awakens compassion through heightened sensitivity.
