Lhabab Duchen
One of the treasured merit-accumulating practices in Mahayana Buddhism is the recitation of The Sutra Remembering the Three Jewels. According to the teachings, reciting this Sutra only one time, purifies negative karma, illuminates the mind, cultivates concentration, propagates the Dharma, protects the Dharma, delivers the deceased, and prays for blessings.
This short Sutra, when recited on one of the eighteen Sacred Buddha Days, has “Karmic results multiplied one hundred million times.” according to Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
Join us in celebrating Lhabab Duchen, the day when the Buddha descended from the God Realm of Thirty-Three after sharing the Dharma with the gods and his mother. This holiday is a Buddha Multiplying Day when karmic actions are one hundred million times stronger.
Today, just like any other day, is a perfect opportunity to engage more earnestly in one’s practice. Please join Venerable Kalden who will we lead us in a reading of The Sutra for Remembering The Three Jewels.

He landed in Nepal and India where he began to study the Dharma in Kopan Monastery and the Tibetan language at both Dharamsala and Sera Je Monastery in South India. He has served in several centers around the world in Spain, UK, France, Nepal, etc. He has completed many retreats and attended numerous teachings with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Khandro-la and Ling Rinpoche as well as other teachers from different lineages and schools of Tibetan Buddhism. He is following Rinpoche’s advice to help FPMT in whatever way possible.
