We invite you to join us for a three-day teaching on Mahamudra, the profound meditation tradition that points directly to the innate clarity, openness, and wakefulness of mind. Rooted in the Buddhist lineage of experiential insight, Mahamudra offers simple yet transformative instructions for recognizing awareness as it is—beyond concepts, struggle, or fabrication.
With Tilopa’s “Ganges Mahamudra” as our guide, we’ll explore:
- Understanding the view of Mahamudra
- Resting naturally in awareness
- Working skillfully with thoughts and emotions
- Deepening confidence in direct experience
- Integrating meditation with daily life
This teaching supports both new and seasoned practitioners. Who it’s for:
- Meditators seeking deeper experiential insight
- Practitioners wishing to clarify the nature of mind
- Anyone drawn to a direct, nonconceptual approach to awakening
No prior experience with Mahamudra is required, only sincere interest and openness. Come discover the simplicity, depth, and freedom of your own awareness. The nature of mind is not created—it is recognized.
Elaine Jackson has taught online at the center, including Developing a Sustainable Meditation Practice and Cultivating and Deepening a Meditation Practice. We are delighted to welcome her to the center in person for the first time. Elaine has a deep meditation practice and is well known for her understanding of Mahamudra. If you are able, we invite you to experience these teachings in person. They are particularly well suited to an in-person setting, offering the support and inspiration of being in the presence of a trained teacher and fellow students.
