Cultivating Resilience:
Calm Mind, Open Heart
with Venerable Amy Miller

Buddhist teachings offer practical methods for developing resilience in the face of life’s difficulties. By learning to calm the mind and open the heart, we can meet challenges with greater inner resources, like that of wisdom, patience, and compassion.

The course explores timeless practices that strengthen our inner lives, offering stability while nurturing the good heart—the foundation for a meaningful and compassionate life. Areas of inquiry include practical exercises in lojong (or mind training), guidance on cultivating genuine bodhicitta, and deepening our understanding of emptiness. Through meditation, reflection, and discussion, learn practical methods for calming the mind, strengthening resilience, and opening the heart to ourselves and others.
