During this auspicious beginning of the Lunar New Year and the twenty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of Tsechen Kunchab Ling, we are delighted to announce that from May 16-24, His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trichen will be in residence at the temple to bestow the terma treasure initiations of the great mahasiddha Apang Terton. He will be joined by His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin, who will bestow additional teachings, transmissions, and practice instructions as part of the program.

His Eminence Kyabje Khenzur Rinpoche will bestow and give Chenrezig Gyalwa on May 30 & 31 at 11am.

The Maha Guru Bhumtsok is an annual, multi-day Tibetan Buddhist prayer ceremony dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava, primarily held to pray for the longevity of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the health of spiritual leaders, and the resolution of the Tibetan issue. It involves offering 100,000 feast offerings (tsok) to Padmasambhava. The ceremony acts as a “Great Prayer and Feast Offering” within the Vajrayana tradition to secure the long life of the14th Dalai Lama and high-ranking lineage holders.

RETREAT: A Week of Deep Practice with Ven. Losang Gendun

This intermediate-level weeklong retreat is guided by the Buddha’s Ānāpānasatisutta: his own account of how mindfulness of breathing, developed through the four close placements of body, feeling, mind, and phenomena, leads step by step to genuine clarity and freedom.
