Teachings on Tantra

Entering the Swift Path of Tantra on a Solid Foundation

Tantra presents a swift path to the state of Buddhahood, an alluring prospect to many Dharma practitioners. Yet its basis is sutra–the collection of Buddha’s teachings that reveal a steady and graduated path to enlightenment–like the one mapped out in the lamrim texts. Practicing tantra requires a solid foundation in essential Dharma teachings, such as renunciation, bodhichitta, and the wisdom realizing emptiness.

Join Venerable Amy Miller in a Friday evening teaching about building the solid foundation needed in order to embark on the swift path to enlightenment. This is the first event in a weekend series on a thorough introduction to tantra, and is open to all levels of practitioners.

Introduction to Tantra

“Everything that we need in order to be complete is within us right at this very moment. It is simply a matter of being able to recognize it. This is the tantric approach.” –Lama Yeshe, Introduction to Tantra

Tantra is a powerful form of practice, and can swiftly expedite a skilled practitioner’s progress on the path to enlightenment. But what do these practices look like, and how does tantra work? Join this weekend teaching from Venerable Amy Miller for a thorough introduction to the tantra path, including an overview of the four classes of tantra and instructions for practicing simple Kriya Tantra methods. With Venerable’s assured guidance, gain experience practicing these methods and learn how to integrate tantra with lamrim meditation for optimal results.

This weekend series is preceded by a Friday evening teaching on developing a solid foundation for tantra practice. This series is suitable for all levels of practitioners.
